History of the Banner

 
BANNER STORY
 
The display of a hand-made banner at provincial, regional and national meetings is a CFUW tradition.
Positioned around a meeting room, they make an exciting show of what each club thinks is unique about their area.
Our banner became a project for Claire Lewis, Nora Jones, Carolyn Beisel, Elizabeth Lundy and Ruth Lodge. During a brain storming session they determined the main elements of the design. Claire claims the image of the door came to her out of a sound night’s sleep. Each banner maker worked on a separate element coming together to quilt the final product.
